Calls now open, JHI-Mellon Graduate and Early Career Faculty Fellowships

Announcement: JHI-Mellon Early Career and JHI-Mellon Graduate Fellowships 2017-2018

We are pleased to announce the availability of travel funding for research in South Africa for PhD students and early-career faculty members at the University of the West Cape in 2017-2018

The Jackman Humanities Institute  (JHI) of the University of Toronto is engaged in a four-year collaboration with the Centre for Humanities Research (CHR) at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa. The project is funded by the Mellon Foundation and is organized around the theme Aesthetic Education: A South-North Dialogue. The collaborative project will fund conferences, workshops and short exchanges of faculty and students between Toronto and UWC. In the context of this project the JHI welcomes applications from faculty members for three JHI-Mellon Early Career Faculty Fellowships and four JHI-Mellon Graduate Fellowships.
