Forms of Encounter: Phala Ookeditse Phala & Tony Miyambo
This series of online presentations and conversations with leading artists, scholars, and artist-scholars in Canada, the United States, and South Africa asks speakers to reimagine the genres we use to bridge academic research and the arts—the artist talk, the Q&A, the conference paper, the catalogue essay. Each invited presentation will be an experiment, a playful reinvention of how we communicate with each other and forge durable relationships. Through these performances, we will begin a conversation about the present and future roles of artists within the university and how to create more meaningful, equitable postcrisis collaborations.
