Critical China Studies

2013-2014 Working Group: Critical China Studies

Critical China Studies

The Critical China Studies working group is now in its fifth year of funding. This group aims at fostering intellectual conversations and exchange among the growing interdisciplinary community of China specialists both at the University of Toronto and in the greater Toronto area. It draws faculty members and graduate students in departments and programs such as History, East Asian Studies, Art, Anthropology, Media Studies, Comparative Literature, Geography, Religion, Sociology, and Women's Studies, among others. Our meetings are usually 2-3 hours long and papers and other reading materials are precirculated to participants.
