The Jackman Humanities Institute extends a warm welcome to Humanities and Social Sciences faculty members new to U of T!
Meet your colleagues and learn more about how the JHI supports research across the tri-campus. This in-person reception will be hosted by JHI Director Alison Keith (University Professor, Department of Classics) and feature short talks from the JHI research community, including:
- Seth Bernard (Associate Professor, Department of Classics), a JHI 12-month Faculty Research Fellow (2022-23) and a 2023-24 Working Group co-Chair
- James Cahill (Associate Professor & Director, Cinema Studies Institute), co-Organizer for the Program for the Arts “Strange Weather: Cinematic Climates” event series (2020)
- Mark Campbell (Assistant Professor, Arts, Culture & Media UTSC), Principal Investigator of the Scholars-in-Residence project, “Deconstructing Hip-Hop Music's Politics” (2023)
- Angela Esterhammer (Professor, Department of English & Director of the Scholars-in-Residence Program, Victoria College), About the Scholars-in-Residence Program
- Danielle Taschereau Mamers (Managing Director, Critical Digital Humanities Initiative), on funding and collaborative opportunities with the Institute
